Nakapan Phungephorn is a passionate life-long martial artist with over 30 years of experience practicing, teaching and competing in the martial arts. He holds a 4th Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Certified Kru in the art of Muay Thai.

After retiring from Professional MMA and Muay Thai Fighting, Nakapan continues to sharpen his skills and test them in competition. Some notable achievements include include winning the IBJJF No-Gi Masters World Championships and becoming a 2x Masters Pan American Champion.

Nakapan believes "Martial Arts is Power to People and has the Potential to Positively Shape the World ". He is on the mission to share its power through Online Instructional Courses and Private Coaching engagements designed to help Practitioners Improve Skills and School Owners Scale their Businesses.

He is the Founder of BETA Academy, the largest and longest running martial arts school in Washington, DC. Established in 2008, the 10,000 square foot state of the art martial arts facility offers world-class Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts programs for adults and children.
