Nakapan Phungephorn has over 30 years experience teaching, training and competing in martial arts. He is a 4th Degree Black Belt in BJJ, a Muay Thai Kru, Judo Black Belt and the Founder of BETA Academy, Washington DC's largest and longest running Martial Arts School. He's helped hundreds of business owner's grow their organizations and his vast knowledge stretches across multiple industries.

Nakapan owns the largest Martial Arts School in Washington DC. BETA Academy is a 7-figure school in its 15th year of operation. With over 650 active students in a 10,000 square foot state-of-the-art-facility, the school is open 7 days a week and offers 80+ classes every week. He oversees a team of over 30 staff members to deliver a World-Class training experience in the Nation's Capital.

Nakapan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), in the state of Virginia.
Prior to establishing BETA Academy, Nakapan was a partner in a successful Tax and Accounting firm where he advised clients on wealth building tax saving strategies. He leveraged his specialized background to help dozens of school owners obtain millions of dollars in government funding during the pandemic.

Nakapan holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA), and a Bachelor's of Science in Accounting from George Mason University School of Business. Piggy backing off these accomplishments, Nakapan was sought out to manage the financial departments for multiple start up companies and help them grow to $10 million dollar businesses.

Nakapan is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai World Champion. He has been competing for over 30 years and holds championship titles in multiple martial art disciplines including the 2016 IBJJF No-Gi World Championship. He is a former WKA Amateur Middleweight Muay Thai World Champion and a retired Professional MMA Fighter.
