Owning and Operating a martial arts school can be a blessing or a curse. I opened my BJJ and Muay Thai Academy in Washington, DC back in 2008 during the great recession. My goal was to quit my day job before I was 30. Though I had nearly a decade of experience in accounting, Nothing prepared me for the challenge of running my own school and at one point I thought I made a mistake.
Trial and error over the last 15 years have lead my team and I to develop Business Systems and Strategies to grow our school from 30 to over 600 students. We now have expanded our operation into a 10,000 square foot facility and employ a team of 20 in the center of the nation's capitol, a feat no one thought possible.
